Which practice-management software can it work with?
We assess Clio, MyCase, Smokeball and the other tools your practice already uses during the Practice Review. A named product is not a promise of a supported integration. We confirm the particular account, available interfaces, permitted actions and licensing before quoting the build.
Does local mean no client data ever leaves the office?
No. A local computer can still send information to connected email, cloud storage, model providers and support services. A local-only workflow requires approved local models, storage and processing, plus tested limits on external connections. We document what each workflow reads, where it runs, what leaves the environment and who can access it. The firm approves those data flows before use.
Where does our data go?
That depends on the workflow. An on-site system can process designated tasks locally; hybrid and hosted designs use the external services your firm approves. We document proposed data flows, permissions, retention and backups before implementation. Local hardware does not automatically make a connected workflow local-only.
Who reviews the outputs?
Your firm assigns the approvers. Releases are held for attorney approval; staff verify deadlines and source records. Conflicts, representation, substantive communications, filings and trust-account decisions remain with the responsible people.
How long does setup take?
The Practice Review written plan is delivered within 10 business days after the required information is received. Cypress Core implementation typically takes 6–8 weeks after scope and access are confirmed. Cypress Managed onboarding begins within 5 business days of launch acceptance. Data readiness, integration access and firm review affect scheduling; the final schedule and terms are set in the written agreement.
What happens when something breaks?
The implementation scope includes visible exception logging, a named escalation path and a manual fallback. Managed support hours, response commitments, usage allowances and change limits are specified in the written agreement.
How does this fit the State Bar’s generative-AI guidance?
The workflow design supports documented supervision, confidential-information controls, source verification and attorney approval. These measures support the firm’s evaluation of the State Bar’s generative-AI guidance, including agentic-AI guidance. Cypress is not State Bar certified or endorsed, and does not guarantee compliance. Each firm must evaluate the actual deployment, applicable law and court requirements.
What is the minimum term for Managed?
The minimum initial term is 3 months, followed by month-to-month service with 30 days’ notice to end service. Final renewal, notice, cancellation and support terms are set in the written agreement.
Is the Practice Review a free sales call?
The Practice Review is a $750 paid assessment, credited toward implementation. The website’s request form starts a conversation about fit and scheduling; submitting it does not confirm an appointment or authorize a charge.
What do the three Core workflows cover?
The starting scope is intake and consultation coordination, disclosure-document collection and follow-up, and a practice briefing / approval queue. Final requirements are agreed with the firm. Autonomous legal advice, unsupervised filings and trust movements are not included.
